The Cold Spring Triathlon needs your support. On Saturday, June 14, 2008 our event will take place to benefit The Intrepid Museum Fallen Heroes Fund and The Chief Michael Shortell Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The Fallen Heroes Fund is a leader in supporting the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families. This fund has provided support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans. 100% of contributions raised by the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund go to these programs, all administrative expenses are underwritten by the Fund’s Trustees.

The Michael Shortell Memorial Fund provides scholarships to the children of NewYork City Police Officers. Michael was a 26 year veteran of the NYPD who died tragically at home in 2005. In Michael’s honor, college scholarships are given each year to children of active duty or retired members of the NYPD.
